Product Description

KIPMONT Diamond Core Drill Bits are designed for fast, clean drilling in stone, tile and
masonry materials. Built with premium vacuum brazed diamond technology, these stone hole saws deliver aggressive cutting performance on hard materials while producing clean, smooth holes with reduced edge chipping.

Made for porcelain tile, ceramic tile, granite, marble, quartz, concrete, engineered stone and masonry, they are ideal for countertop fabrication, faucet holes, pipe holes, electrical pass throughs, tile installation, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and general construction work. Designed for stone fabricators, countertop installers, tile contractors, plumbers, electricians, contractors, remodelers and serious DIY users, these core bits perform equally well in both shop fabrication and on-site installation.

The thin-wall barrel reduces cutting resistance for faster drilling, smoother control and
improved efficiency. Every size provides a 2-inch drilling depth, making these core bits
suitable for most countertop slabs, vanity tops, tile walls and common stone fabrication
applications. Sizes 3/4 inch and larger feature cooling slots for improved slurry removal and heat dissipation, along with four vacuum brazed side protection segments—two inner and
two outer—to help protect the steel barrel, reduce side friction and produce cleaner, smoother hole walls.

Usage Instructions

➊ Preparation

Tool Installation  Securely mount the KIPMONT core drill bit onto a 5/8”-11 angle grinder before drilling.
Water Supply  Wet drilling is recommended whenever possible to reduce heat, minimize dust and extend tool life.
Safety Gear  Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves and a dust mask.

➋ Drilling Process

  • For the best accuracy, use a drilling guide or template whenever possible.
  • Clamp a scrap piece of stone beneath the work piece to reduce chipping whenever
    possible.
  • Wet drilling is strongly recommended for better cooling, longer tool life and reduced dust. Ensure steady water supply during operation.
  • Drilling Depth Guidelines. The maximum drilling depth is 2 inches.
  • Alternate Tool Use: To use with a standard drill, a separate 5/8"-11 to 3/8" or 1/2" shank adapter is required.
  • Periodically withdraw the bit during drilling to improve cooling and slurry removal.

➌ Freehand Drilling Tips

  • Start at about a 45-degree angle to create a shallow groove.
  • Once the groove is established, gradually bring the bit upright to 90 degrees while
    maintaining steady control.
  • Apply light, steady pressure and let the diamond do the work. Do not force the bit.

Maintenance & Storage

✅ Clean after use: Rinse the bit with water to remove stone debris and slurry.
✅ Dry thoroughly before storage to prevent corrosion.
✅ Inspect the core bit for wear or damage before each use.
✅ Store in a dry place, preferably in original packaging to avoid accidental damage.
✅ Do not store the bit while wet.

Safety Guidelines

  • Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and a dust mask.
  • Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling.
  • Keep hands, clothing and body parts away from the rotating bit.
  • Never exceed the maximum operating speed of 11,000 RPM.
  • Inspect the core bit before each use. Replace any damaged or excessively worn bit.
  • Disconnect the power tool before installing, removing or changing the core bit.
